New materials regarding research in the fields of architecture and urban construction are being presented. The authors also focus on the history of the creation of little-known buildings of interest, on the development of local architectural traditions, on new attributions, and introduce recently discovered archive materials. A number of papers are dedicated to the issues of architectural and urban planning development of historical towns and cities or study the formation of architectural ensembles. The edition also includes papers that are devoted to theoretical historical-architectural problems, to biographies of architects, or analyze artistic approaches and concepts.

The Book “The General Plan for the Reconstruction of Moscow” (1936): the History of Creation and its Role in Shaping the ideas of Moscow reconstruction in the first half of the 1930s
The article is devoted to the history of “The General Plan for the Reconstruction of Moscow” book, which is one of the main sources for the studies of the Moscow General Plan of 1935. On the basis of archival materials, the article for the first time attempts to explore the process of working on the text of the book and compare versions of this text found in the archive of L. M. Kaganovich (RGASPI). Special attention is paid to the definition of the role that was given to this publication by L. M. Kaganovich, who had a leading role in the process of its creation.
