New materials regarding research in the fields of architecture and urban construction are being presented. The authors also focus on the history of the creation of little-known buildings of interest, on the development of local architectural traditions, on new attributions, and introduce recently discovered archive materials. A number of papers are dedicated to the issues of architectural and urban planning development of historical towns and cities or study the formation of architectural ensembles. The edition also includes papers that are devoted to theoretical historical-architectural problems, to biographies of architects, or analyze artistic approaches and concepts.

The Wall Paintings of the Vvedensky Cathedral of Tolga monastery and the Yaroslavl Tradition of Monumental Painting in 1690s–1740s
The article deals with the little-studied monument of the Russian monumental art — the wall paintings of the Vvedensky Cathedral of Tolga Monastery executed in 1690–1691. Also the paintings of the parish churches of Yaroslavl of the first half of the 18th century where the influence of Tolga’s paintings is noticeable are considered. The peculiarity of the wall painting structure and features of the painting program of the Vvedensky Cathedral are analyzed for the first time, as well as the interpretation of these features in the Yaroslavl tradition of monumental painting.
