New materials regarding research in the fields of architecture and urban construction are being presented. The authors also focus on the history of the creation of little-known buildings of interest, on the development of local architectural traditions, on new attributions, and introduce recently discovered archive materials. A number of papers are dedicated to the issues of architectural and urban planning development of historical towns and cities or study the formation of architectural ensembles. The edition also includes papers that are devoted to theoretical historical-architectural problems, to biographies of architects, or analyze artistic approaches and concepts.

Building of the Commercial Institute in Moscow. Russian Neoclassicism of the Early 20th Century
The article is dedicated to the history of designing and constructing the lecture building of the Moscow Commercial Institute, presently being one of a number of the various structures situated on the campus of the Russian Economic University. Even though the building of the former Institute of Commerce is well-known as an example of pre-revolutionary Neoclassicism, the details regarding its appearance are described by specialists in a quite fragmentary manner and surrounded with legends. By analyzing archive materials, the author of this work intends to fill some existing gaps.
